The Aeronautics and Rocketry Enterprise (AERE – pronounced “Air”) is an interdisciplinary organization at Michigan Tech that provides students an opportunity to gain exposure to the aerospace field through experiential learning. AERE is involved in propulsion research with autonomous flight systems as well as competing in SAE Aero Design and the International Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC).
- Competing on a global stage in the International Rocket Engineering Competition (Largest International Rocketry Competition).
- Hands-on experience in propulsion, flight systems, and rocketry with real-world applications.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration across engineering, computing, physics, and more.
- Opportunities to design, build, and test rockets, aircraft, and propulsion systems.
- Student-led innovation with cutting-edge research in liquid propulsion.
